To defend the accused, within the parameter’s of the UCMJ!
the same role as a defense attorney in civilian life. The only difference is the Judge and Jury are Military.
Your role is to defend your client against the charges.
As been held true as of late…the defense attorney has absolutely NO role in a military trial. Except to be used as a “show piece” so that Adolph Bush and his military thugs can say “see, we do it fairly”!
Old Soldier
Is this a trick question? Am I so old that I can’t understand the question? I asked myself, WHAT DOES A DEFENSE ATTORNEY DO. I was going to answer quickly and say THE DEFENSE ATTORNEY DEFENDS THE DEFENDANT. But then I re-read the question and tried to find the the TRICK in it.
I’M SO CONFUSED!!
