Sunday, September 27th, 2009I was receiving child and spousal support. My ex quit paying the spousal support 2 months prior to the judge deciding to terminate it. The judge assumed he paid for the last 2 months, but he really didn’t. The judge ordered the support to be terminated at a retroactive date (2 months prior) and to apply the 2 months of spousal support payments as my attorney fees. Problem is, I never received the 2 months of spousal support payments that are now considered to be monies for my attorney fees.
