I have spoke to Department of Children and Families, the nursing home staff and two Ombudsmen and have to success because everyone says that I need legal help. I cannot afford an attorney at this point. Everyone realizes that what my Mother is doing is wrong but we aren’t sure where to go from here.

If you grandmother is legally sound of mind she can have the attorney who drew up the POA send a letter to your mother rescinding the POA. and appointing another person.
You need to go to court and file to have a new guardian or conservator appointed for your grandmother. As part of that proceeding, you would ask the court to rescind the POA your mother has. You may not be able to afford an attorney, but you need one.
Like wizjip said, try legal aid. You can also call the state bar association where you live (look them up online or in the phone book) and ask if they have any pro bono services (or reduced fee services) for persons who need assistance.
Call any and every laywer who deals with it call your state and government agencies get proof if you can talk to your grandma’s doctors get other family involved look into court facilitator to guide you on papers to file.look up court sites and go through there forms in re: to this.If you talk to enough people someone will point you where you need to go..I work in a hospital and see this so much it is awful good luck to you
You will need to sue for custody or a change of medical power of attorney. If the abuse becomes criminal, it will be reported by the nursing home.
You might try speaking to someone in Legal Aid or someone with Adult Protective Services.
Nowhere without a lawyer. It’s just not going to happen that a POA will be revoked based on what you think.
