How Do I Chose A Good Attorney?

My employee is accused of fraud, as is another Company and thier employee. The plantiffs attorney has a court ordered Lis Pendens filed against my employees home. The home used to be owned by the plantiff. I imagine her attorney is very confident he can win this case.

    There aren’t good attorneys.
Forgive me, I don’t mean to sound cold…
A Lis Pendens means the court has jurisdiction. power, and control over the property pending action and final judgment because the property may be (or is) involved in a possible (pending) suit.
This sounds like a real estate deal where the seller feels he was lied to and cheated. Gee, I wish I could speak more highly of real estate agents… (they do lie and plead ignorance!!)
Visit with attorneys — as many as you can — state the truth (as you know it). Pick the attorney you believe will serve you best… Sorry, I just can’t imagine an attorney doing that (based on my experience). The bright side is, I can’t imagine the plaintiff’s attorney being “good” either. So, it really comes down to two jerks pretending to serve their clients, when they really just want to settle out of court, so they don’t have to “hassle” with a trial and they get paid for the least amount of work. Everybody, but they, get screwed.
I wish I could help, but I can’t speak much higher of real estate agents.
And, maybe it’s not even about real estate agents…
    Good luck…

Get a recommendation, that is probably the best way to get a competent attorney with the expertise you need.
