Obama’s main tie to ACORN was as a part of a legal team who helped win the “Motor Voter” lawsuit in IL. The team fought against state laws that essentially limited access to voting poles to some groups of people. The verdict that he and the team helped win opened up access to the poles in IL and won them the very prestigious “Legal Eagle” award.
Obama’s involvement with Ayers was through a board on which they both sat, which doesn’t exactly make them BFFs. The interesting thing is that the person who established this board was the wife of Walter Annenberg, a prominent philantropist. (You might recognize the Annenberg Foundation). Coincidently, she is in second place on the new list of GOP supporters than McCain released this week. Does that mean that McCain too is a friend of Ayers?

i think what should be done is, all registrations that were filled out by people that acorn brought in should be thrown away and all members of acorn and all people associated with them should be brought up on federal charges.

I think that the group needs to go to jail. It is apparent that registration fraud is a common and accepted practice of this group, and all should be indicted.

Anyone registered through ACORN should have to prove their eligibility at their local election precinct within one month of the election or their vote should not count!

That point should have been addressed at the time you engaged the attorney and discussed your case and his plan for your defense a well as costs and his timing in providing those services. My suggestion is find another attorney or at least get a clear understanding of what and when he plans to initiate on your behalf. Good luck!!
