What Should I Do About An Attorney That Never Returns My Calls After Paying Him?

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

I used an attorney that runs an add in the local paper for a no fault divorce that could save some money. He did file the papers in the court because I have checked. However, he is supposed to mail the papers to my wife so she can get them notarized and mail them back and at that time we can do depositions and be that much closer to the divorce. The court received the papers on 4/30/07 but so far my wife has not received the papers he is supposed to mail her. I have tried calling him for two weeks now and so far he has not returned one call. I have already paid him $200 for filing and to be honest I am getting very irritated with him.

This is an injury/accident lawyer. I met with the investigator and signed the contract they said they’d get right on it, i do think they are a good team of lawyers. My last Lawyer i hired didnt even call me i waited after a 2 weeks and called them , left messages no one ever called me back, kept calling and they gave me a big ole run around then dropped my case after 2 months. I told them to send me my files and all they had was a phone number to the other guys lawyers. So anyways i knows its only been a day but how did your previous experience work when you hired an attorney?

My Attorney Forgot To Pay One Of The People Owed After An Accident, Am I Still Responsible Or Is He?

Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

I was in a car accident and hired an attorney. We settled with the insurance company, and he proceeded to sort out all of my bills. He neglected to pay one after he negotiated a price with them, and released the remaining funds including those that should have been payed to the insurance company to me. Now that time has passed and I have allotted the money to other things they have contacted me and of course they want their money, should the attorney be responsible for this, considering I was under the assumption we were through when remaining funds were released?
