I went to my court appearance for drinking and driving today and the duty counsel asked for 4 weeks, then i have to come back again for the sentencing, as i was standing up there the crown attorney said they would like to add drinking and a drug to the charge, can they do that? None of my papers from the incident suggest anything about being on drugs, i wasnt on drugs. I want to plead guilty to the drinking charges, but i dont want to plead guilty to the drug charge. What should I do in this situation.

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009He can’t be at the closing because of his new job, so it looks like our only option is for me to be his temporary or “limited” power of attorney for real estate. It has to be legal in the state of Kentucky. How much does this cost and how do we go about doing this?

How Do You Suggest That I Locate An Attorney That Will Give Me A Free Consultation For The First Visit?
Wednesday, October 7th, 2009Legal Services will not help with this issue. The County Bar association does not always provide a good match. So far, I’ve tried the Yellow Pages and the Internet. But no luck so far. They either say that they don’t handle my type of case or suggest the Bar Association.
PS: I live in Northwest Indiana (near Chicago). A Chicago attorney may not be licensed in my state.
How Much Does A First Year Attorney Recruiter Make?
Monday, June 29th, 2009Hi all!
This is my first question so be gentle;-) I am considering taking an attorney recruiter position with a legal staffing company and I was wondering if anyone had any idea what an “average” first year recruiter can expect to make in a large urban area. The compensation involves a draw against future commission, 45% of placement fee. Knowing what I know about attorney compensation where I live it seems that I wouldn’t have to do all that many placements to exceed six figures so there must be a catch here.
