I’ve gotten myself into a lawsuit and I’ve calculated the cost of the lawyer and the maximum money I would get and they pretty much even out. I’ve decided not to get an attorney because I really need the money. If I can’t do this please answer me. If you could explain why I must have an attorney I would appreciate it.

Monday, December 7th, 2009I went to a PSI interview on Monday, people warned me the lady was mean but it went surprisingly well. She was not pushy about her questions and was smiling when I left. Do I Have To Have An Attorney To Have A Judges Decision Overturned?
Sunday, December 6th, 2009Without knowing what was going on, there was a no contact order placed against me and my family. The order is for children we raised who are now in states custody. We were legal guardians until we let the mother have them back thinking she had changed her life. She abandonded the kids and they are now in foster care. We went to try to get them and found out about this no contact order. We feel that we were tried and convicted without even knowing we were on trial. We dont have thousands of dollars to spend on an attorney. How can we do this without having one?
What Recourse Do I Have, If My Attorney Is Not Living Up To His Moral Code Of Ethics?
Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009I retained an attorney, who hasn’t lived up to his moral obligation. He actually told the opposing attorney, as well as myself, that “he wouldn’t want to pay me either”; if he was the opposing litigant. I’m disappointed, hurt, and I’m also losing my case. I don’t know WHY he’s conducting himself in this manner, because he’s represented me for 10 years. I had to call a friend yesterday, cite a similar case, and send it to my attorney; hoping he’ll act upon it. I already paid him, and I can’t afford another attorney. he’s part of a large firm, and I don’t know what to do. Any advice?

Basically, it says you can only apply on behalf of another adult [eighteen plus years of age] if: they are disabled, if you hold power of attorney, or if they are deceased. Well, I am not deceased. I am not disabled. But do they hold power of attorney over me? What is power of attorney?
